About Me

I’m Petyo, a seasoned technologist with over a decade of experience helping financial organisations innovate and scale.

I believe in bridging the gap between complex technological solutions and tangible business outcomes.

With over a decade of experience in the financial services sector, I specialise in building and scaling complex, real-time systems. I began my career as a Java developer at Morgan Stanley in London, where I developed backend services processing over $5 billion in daily repo trades and led a scrum team focused on collateral optimisation. At Morgan Stanley’s International Prime Brokerage, I honed my skills in high-performance Java engineering, working on intra-day risk systems using advanced patterns like the Disruptor and off-heap memory management.

Transitioning to JPMorgan, I was one of the pioneering engineers behind the launch of Chase UK’s cloud-native banking platform, leading the team responsible for BACS UK payments. As the VP of Engineering for a fintech startup, I drove innovation in “bank-in-a-box” solutions and shared my expertise on event sourcing at industry conferences like Kafka Summit. Currently, I assist a wealth management startup in leveraging Generative AI to enhance their offering. My full-time position is with Infinite Lambda as the Chief of Products and Services where I work on product offerings and GTM strategies.

My unique blend of deep technical expertise—including Java, cloud-native engineering, microservices, event-driven systems, event sourcing, and GenAI application development—and strategic business insight allows me to help startups and SMEs build scalable, resilient systems that accelerate growth and innovation.
